Mary Annunziata

Instructor

Mary (she/her) has been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and completed her 200-hour certification with ISHTA Yoga in 2016. Her yoga practice was a throughline for her transition to motherhood, and after the birth of her two children (in hospital and home settings), she became deeply passionate about moving with women through this sacred phase of life. Mary is an advocate for greater education, empowerment, and autonomy in pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond.

In addition to completing her 85-hour prenatal teacher training with Lara Kohn Thompson and Beth Donnelly at Brooklyn Flow, Mary is also a longtime student of Katonah yoga, which interweaves Hatha yoga with Taoist theory, geometry, magic, mythology, metaphor, and imagination.

When Mary is not on her mat, you can find her grant writing, immersed in a novel, or exploring the city and the Catskills with her husband, sons, and cat.
