Jackie comes from a martial arts background, practicing and teaching Taekwondo and mixed martial arts for over ten years. As a lover and not a fighter, she soon fell in love with yoga and meditation, and the way the practices bring us into deeper awareness and connection with ourselves. Today, her vinyasa practice finds inspiration from ashtanga sequencing and Katonah alignment, incorporating pranayama and meditation for an experience that brings us back to ourselves. As a teacher, she hopes to cultivate a safe space for people to feel at home in their bodies. She completed her 200 hour teacher training with Kristin Leigh and Barbara Verrochi, and is a practitioner of Mahayana Buddhism. In her free time, Jackie enjoys hanging out with her cat Tofu, and communing with squirrels and birds in parks.
