Originally from New Zealand, Renee is deeply passionate about Pilates. She discovered it almost by accident. Two c-section births left her with a weak core, two herniated discs in her lower back and sciatic nerve pain. After her injury, Renee stumbled upon a rehab reformer studio. Within just 3 months of Pilates Renee’s back was fixed, the nerve pain was gone, she no longer limped and could carry her baby again. From that moment on, the magic of the Pilates method became a lifelong love affair and -career. Renee did her comprehensive teacher training with BASI, is mat qualified, has 10yrs of practice behind her and is continuing study towards her full comprehensive. A former news presenter, journalist and radio host, Renee has a warm, calming, inviting voice that puts people at ease. Renee expertly weaves together her love of communication, people, stories and music into a mix of body awareness, spinal alignment, and injury prevention. Nervous system regulation, directing the body through breath and precise cueing are the cornerstones of Renee’s passion as a teacher: telling the stories of the body via movement.
