Compassion in Action

Food insecurity affects so many in our community. Let’s come together to make a difference! Join Shantideva Center and Yogis & Yoginis in supporting the neighborhood food pantry. Every contribution counts.

There will be a designated container in the lobby.

Drop-Off Hours: Sat-Sun, 9am-4pm and when attending a class/event.  

Most Needed Pantry Items

We accept donations of unexpired and unopened non-perishable goods. Canned goods are welcome however the food pantry would appreciate the following to offer to the community:

  • Canned fish: Tuna or other types of canned fish.
  • Canned or dried soups: These hearty and filling options make great meal.
  • Canned or dried beans: All types are welcome. 
  • Cooking oil: All types are welcome. No glass containers.
  • Juice: Boxed non-refrigerated juice. No glass containers.
  • Dried fruits and nuts: All types are welcome.

Best Practices When Choosing Donations

  • Check expiration dates: Please make sure all items are within their sell-by or best-by dates.
  • Check for damage: Only factory-sealed, undamaged cans.
  • No glass containers: To prevent breakage during transport or in the donation container.

Offering Donations Online

Our neighborhood food pantry, Camp Friendship Food Pantry also accepts financial contributions. They spend $2500 a week purchasing fresh produce for the community. To donateplease visit Camp Friendship Food Pantry Make A Donation.
